Daniel has written music for a broad spectrum of projects, including long-running forensic crime drama Silent Witness (BBC Drama), BBC wildlife documentary strand The Natural World, entertainment shows with Derren Brown, Matt Lucas and Simon Pegg, as well as major Arts and Science documentaries like the BBC's How Art Made The World and Alternative Medicine. He wrote original songs for the Stephen Poliakoff films Capturing Mary and Friends and Crocodiles, and also provided the music for many long-running factual series for the BBC including Fake Britain, Heir Hunters, The Sheriffs are Coming, Oxford Street Revealed and The House That 100k Built. Most recently, he has been working with independent film makers, including a series of animated shorts in collaboration with Territory Studio. Daniel has developed a scoring process which encourages musicians’ response to film. This yields exciting and emotive results, deepening the connection between story, image and music. He is currently collaborating with LCO (London Contemporary Orchestra), one of the UKs most innovative and respected ensembles, on a number of recordings including a film about the refugee crisis in association with Médicins Sans Frontières (Doctors without borders).
