Sam McCarthy has been playing music since he was 15 – childhood years were spent in Portsmouth writing songs and playing in the local bars – when he hit 21, he made the move to London writing and recording a selection of beautiful love songs: ‘If You Could See Me’ performed by Eliza Doolittle and 2 further songs from his album, ‘Home’ and ‘Cherry Tree’ which feature in the BBC sitcom series, ‘Gavin & Stacey’. Sam has since been writing songs with a string of artists: Harry Styles from One Direction, The Kooks, Asha, Pepper and singer-songwriter, Amy Wadge [Ed Sheeran/Josh Kumra/Lewis Watson] + his own new band ‘Burning Beaches’.
