For more than six months, rumours were floating around that David Bowie would return to the stage at the climax of the High Line Festival. And for a few brief moments, introducing Ricky Gervais's performance at Madision Square Garden he closed the festival on May 19. Looking immaculate in a tuxedo, Bowie delivered a vaudevillian rendition of the Gervais-bashing Pug Nosed Face from Extras and was greeted with a standing ovation by the 5,500 strong crowd who knew all the words and then proceeded to laugh themselves silly over Gervais's jokes.
