Download: Biography

It’s no coincidence that Liz’s debut album was entitled “The Words”. Despite numerous vocal features that span a decade, accumulating over 20 million streams, it was the three years spent developing her solo artist project that cemented her reputation as an “over-sharer - someone who pours every ounce of her soul into her music” (Clash).

The emotive alt-pop album was awarded 4* by The Times, who heralded “the arrival of a new - but grown up - talent” and noted “the weight of experience conveyed in the lyrics” while making vocal comparisons with Kate Bush (Liz’s musical heroine) and Lana del Rey.

Her musical trajectory has taken many twists and turns. Her first songwriting experience was in her teens with Grammy award winning producer Fraser T. Smith before immersing herself in the London Jazz scene for several years after which she describes “falling into the dance music world by accident” after a chance introduction. Finding a real knack for toplining and hustling for opportunities to write vocals for electronic artists led to two features on Hot Since 82’s album ‘Recovery” a long with Boy George and Rudimental and releases on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom and Defected among others.

Liz’s solo project has enjoyed support across both regional and international radio, consistently championed by BBC Radio 1 Future Artists and Future Pop, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing as well as Triple J and iHeart Radio. Regular New Music Fridays and editorial support from Spotify, Apple and Deezer continue to contribute to her growing listeners and fans. She is currently putting the finishing touches to her second album which draws heavily on her early musical influences - particularly the 80s - as well as dance music features coming up on Berlin label Get Physical Music and Franky Wah’s Shen imprint.
